Draft — not reviewed by a lawyer

This document describes how the affiliate program actually works, and is intended as a starting point for qualified legal and tax review before the program opens to the public. It has not been checked for enforceability, for consumer-protection or advertising law in any jurisdiction, or for tax treatment. Do not rely on it as it stands.

Promotional and brand guidelines

How to promote By Faith Apps as an affiliate. Breaching these is grounds for suspension, so they are worth five minutes.

Version 2026-08-01 · Your affiliate dashboard

1. Always disclose

Every post, page, email, video or message carrying a referral link must say that you may earn a commission. Put it near the link, in the same medium, before the click — not in a site footer, not behind a “show more” toggle, and not only in a video description when the link is spoken aloud.

“I may earn a commission when you purchase through this link.” is sufficient. Your own words are fine as long as they are as clear.

2. Say only what is true

Describe features that exist, at prices we publish. Do not promise outcomes, uptime, savings, compliance certifications or roadmap items. Criticism is welcome — an honest review that says what the product does badly is worth more to both of us than one that does not.

3. Do not compete with us for our own name

No paid search on “By Faith Apps”, “byfaithapps”, misspellings of either, or our product names. No display URLs that resemble ours. Advertising on your own brand and on generic terms is fine.

4. Do not look like us

No domains, subdomains, social handles, app names, page titles or email addresses that imply you are By Faith Apps or speak for us. Do not describe yourself as an official partner, reseller or representative.

5. No unsolicited messages

No cold email, no SMS, no unsolicited direct messages, no automated posting, and no posting in communities whose rules forbid promotion. If in doubt, ask the community, not us.

6. No incentivised or manufactured traffic

No coupon or cashback sites injecting the code at checkout, no browser extensions, no toolbars, no cookie stuffing, no iframes, no auto-redirects, and no paying people to click or sign up. Traffic has to be somebody genuinely interested.

7. Using the mark

  • Use the logo as supplied. Do not recolour, stretch, rotate, outline or add effects.
  • Leave clear space around it of at least the height of the mark.
  • Place it on a background that meets contrast requirements — the dashboard shows both approved treatments.
  • Do not use it as your own avatar, favicon or app icon.
  • Do not incorporate it into a logo of your own.

8. If you are unsure

Ask before publishing. A question costs nothing; a suspension after a campaign has run costs both of us. Where a rule here conflicts with the Affiliate Program Terms, the terms govern.
